From Fuorcla Surlej you can look at one of the most spectacular panoramas of the Alps. You look out into a huge arena of ice and rock, in the background Piz Tschierva, Piz Morteratsch, Piz Bernina with the famous Biancograt, Piz Roseg and the Sella group surrounded by impressive glaciers. Around the Fuorcla Surlej are mute signs of the last ice age.

Very nicely located hut in the middle of the glaciers with a view of the Lej da Vadret down to Pontresina. The hut hosts are extremely nice, funny, and helpful. Tips for tours are also available at any time.

The food is very good considering the circumstances (helicopter supply) and always sufficient. All in all, worth a visit for a night or a tour in the area.
