The church was built between 1820 and 1823. The choir flanking tower of the former collegiate church was incorporated as a bell tower and, in 1845, a bell storey with a pointed spire was added. The church was destroyed in World War II. It was rebuilt with a new interior and a modified bell tower. The church has a rectangular floor plan.
