Plessa Power Plant

Highlight • Monument

You can see the towers of the power plant from afar. You should follow them, because a visit to the "experience power plant" is worthwhile. In the past, such industrial plants shaped the landscape of Lusatia - today this power plant is a true rarity. Not only because it is the oldest in the world in terms of its structure. Here you can visit authentic technology from the 1920s. A real experience as you follow the path of coal, from the outer bunker to the boiler house, the turbines and the transformers.

July 27, 2024,Elstermühle Plessa – Grünewalder Lauch Runde von Lauchhammer-Mitte
We drove a nice loop from the Grünewalder Lauch campsite, also suitable for "normal drivers with some training". At the moment there is a construction site, but we were able to get past it at the weekend.
