From the paid parking lot (5€) in the Ahrn district, we follow the forest path to the Hoher Sattel. (This boring part of the tour could be shortened perfectly with an e-bike.)

From the Hoher Sattel, we go on a forest path and later through mountain pines to the saddle between Weißlehnkopf and Arnplattenspitze. At around 2000m, the scramble begins …

Bike to the Hoher Sattel (quite strenuous without an E-bike, but worth it for the descent). The Mittlere Ahrnspitze is quite challenging in terms of climbing (grade III) and is only recommended for experienced climbers. The route has been well marked for a few years now (extremely helpful), but it's still a serious challenge and shouldn't be underestimated.

After a short up and down, the Weißlehnkopf 2002m is reached
The 4th summit after easy rope securing is the Ahrnplattenspitze 2171m
Now it gets a little more difficult but well marked to the …

Today I'm hiking on the western side of the Karwendel range – from Leutasch over the Arnspitzen, on a beautiful, fairly easy ridge climb. Partly exposed, but never more difficult than grade II, mostly closer to grade I, with occasional walking sections, some of which are on quite loose ground. Great views in all directions, especially of the Wetterstein, Hohe …
