The Funivia Malcesine-Monte Baldo gives you an altitude gain of around 1700 meters ... so you can really save "grains". The mountain station is therefore, again and again for me, a brilliant starting point for extensive MTB tours in the area of Monte Baldo.

This is a spectacular point on the Graziani road after the San Valentino pass. The small waterfalls on the roadside, the stretch with the cantilevered rocks and the two tunnels built by the Military Engineers during the Great War in 1915 are truly unique. The tunnels offer a breathtaking view of Lake Pra de la Stua and the Aviana valley .

The ascent from Torbole up to the Altissimo is a great challenge and one often asks "how far is it to the summit?" - damn far and damn steep over the 601er! But the views during the strenuous ascent and later from the Altissimo are WORLD CLASS!

Torbole on Lake Garda

Highlight • Settlement

On the shore at the foot of Monte Baldo, Torbole sul Garda rises, small, picturesque and immersed in a spectacular landscape. A good starting point for discovering the cycle path of the Sarca valley or going up to Nago.

May 18, 2024,IT MTB Monte Baldo Rote Route (mit der Seilbahn hoch)
Always follow the very good signage. The tour can also be done without an eBike, but there is a 3 km steep climb relatively early on. In the middle there is a scree section with steps to push. Otherwise just great views and nature.

Beautiful and varied MTB tour, through mountain forests and meadows to the shore of Lake Garda.
Very nice view from Monte Baldo on Lake Garda.

In addition to easy off-road routes, the tour also offers cool and crisp trails (including Side Trail Altissimo).

The Red Tour from Monte Baldo. Wow, I can recommend it! There are some tarmac sections, but also cross-country sections.
The uphill with the cable car was great and worth the €25 for the subsequent route.
I stuck to the Touristico route...the freeride version has a few more HM on top, but is a bit shorter ☺️

What an experience 😎 In Malcesine we went to the cable car and then up to Monte Baldo 🎉
Once at the top, you are spoiled for choice. Which trail tour should it be? We opted for the MTB Red Tour, the trails and the panorama were priceless 😁
Definitely do it when you're here!

From Malcesine we took the mountain railway to Monte Baldo and from there via the MTB Red Tour back to Torbole.
The cracker. If you are in the vicinity, you should not miss the trails, the panorama and the mountain.

The MTB Red Tour is highly recommended...well signposted...really fun despite the many asphalt sections...there's a cool steep section in the middle 👍.

Climb to the top of Monte Baldo with cable car from Malcesine. Followed the Red Tour route, not too difficult. Stunning views. I confess I did some sections on foot. I recommend booking the cable car, which has two climbs in the morning 8.25 and 8.55 and two in the afternoon for those with a bike. WORTH IT
