Slovak Soldiers' Cemetery in Załuż

Highlight • Historical Site

On September 17, 1939, this part of the Sanok County was under Soviet occupation. (...) In June 1941 the village was captured by the German-Slovak army. On the edge of the village there is a cemetery of Slovak soldiers who died during a skirmish with the Red Army in 1941. The cemetery was opened by the then President of Slovakia, Fr. Józef Tiso.
