Cycle path

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Here the official bike path is just a beaten path. But it doesn't matter which bike. Everyone can get through this flat section without any problems. Something different than just wide, asphalt stretches.

Leipheim water tower

The tower was renamed the water tower at the beginning of the last century when the house and court wells were given up and a water cooperative was founded in 1902. The goal: to tap the springs on the slope of the Danube, to pump them up into the city and from there to pipe them into the houses via a network of pipes. Therefore, between 1907 and 1908, the tower was converted into a water reservoir. A floor was placed on top of the defense tower, which until 1964 contained a concrete tank for approx. 80 cubic meters of water. A water attendant checked the water level three times a day using an externally mounted level indicator
