Heeze-Leende (Sound fragment pronunciation (info / explanation)) (Brabant: Héésj-Lint) is a municipality in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant. It was formed on 1 January 1997 from the municipalities of Heeze and Leende and the village of Sterksel that belonged to the municipality of Maarheeze. The municipality has 15,965 inhabitants (1 January 2019, source: CBS) and has an area of 105.12 km² (of which 0.83 km² water). The municipality of Heeze-Leende is part of the SRE framework law area.

The municipality of Heeze-Leende borders the municipalities of Geldrop-Mierlo, Someren, Cranendonck, Hamont-Achel, Valkenswaard, Waalre, Eindhoven.

The outside area consists mainly of nature areas such as the Strabrechtse Heide, the Herbertusbossen, the Leenderbos and the Groote Heide. In the municipality are also the hamlet of Bruggerhuizen on the Tongelreep and the part of the Achelse Kluis in the Netherlands. The zoning plan for the outlying area was established in 2009 and was therefore the first zoning plan for the outlying area of the province of Noord-Brabant that was established under the New Spatial Planning Act. Heeze-Leende likes to call itself the most natural town in Noord-Brabant.

Culture
Every year at the end of August, Heeze hosts the Brabant Day cultural festival, all kinds of cultural activities for a week and the unique historical parade on the last Sunday of August. The Heezenaar Berry Knapen has been three times in succession Brabant champion barrel talk, the Sterkselnaar Rob Scheepers has been this one time.

Heeze Castle

The stylish Heeze Castle is beautifully surrounded by canals. This castle has been inhabited by the Van Tuyll van Serooskerken family since 1760, making it one of the last inhabited castles in the Netherlands.
