May 9, 2024,🌞 Himmelfahrt in Nordhessen 🚴
This morning, the three of us headed towards Edersee in glorious sunshine 🌞. Short break at the Affoldern reservoir, then on towards the dam. On to Niederwerber, from there to Sachsenhausen for a break, with waffles and a half 🍺Eva, thank you for the ride ☺️ On the railway cycle path back to Affoldern and on to Fritzlar to the …

Edersee has to be there every now and then. On the Bahnradweg and through the Reiherbachtal to the Edersee. Then along the Eder again, back to Fritzlar.

On the way home, I made a stop at the Edersee. I parked in Mandern and from there it goes along the Eder over the Affolderersee to the Edersee and the dam. On the left side, I went as far as the Anruffähre and further to the bridge. From there, it went back to the dam on an asphalt bike …

Excursion to Fritzlar via the Eder Cycle Path
A very good route, with excellent signage.
Fritzlar has a picturesque old town.

Very nice bike path. Unfortunately, I missed the right path down from the castle in the forest and then had to go down a very narrow, bumpy hiking trail. Absolutely not recommended to go down this path by bike. But going back was not an option so close your eyes and through.

Wonderful tour, with fish sandwiches in Rehbach and coffee in Mehlen. Let's repeat without rain.

Went on a great bike ride with friends...starting in Bad Wildungen, crossing the Eder Dam...and back! The trails were easy to ride...some steep paths...mostly nice paved roads! We took some nice breaks, and the weather was perfect! Best wishes, Anne and Berrys 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🌞

Along the Edersee and the Eder. Heavy snow flurries in between. In the evening overnight stay with a friend in Fritzlar.
