Llynnon Mill

Highlight • Historical Site

Also known as Melin Llynnon, Llynnon mill is the only working windmill on Anglesey. Next to the mill, you can visit a reconstruction of an Iron Age Settlement which would have stood here around 3 - 5,000 years ago.

When you finish learning about flour production and historic life on the island, you can stop for a delicious meringue and a cup of tea at the cafe.

Just off the A55 near Holyhead sits a popular country park which attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year. Penrhos Coastal Park is considered one of Anglesey's hidden gems, but hidden within it is also one of North Wales' most unusual attractions.

For decades, people have gathered in a section of woodland within the 200 acre park to mourn their four-legged friends. Tucked away within the forest is a pet cemetery where dozens of animals have been buried since the 1980s.

Tens of miniature headstones make up this unique spot which is open to the public. Each year thousands of people visit the coastal park but some are left puzzled when they encounter a pet memorial along the way.

View of Beddmanarch Bay

Highlight • Viewpoint

Dead end for road bikes. It's a big carpark, but it does have a public toilet 🚻
Nice on a sunny day, but not really a good highlight unless you need the loo.

St Cybi's Church

Highlight • Religious Site

St Cybi's is a Grade I-listed church that was built in the 13th century. It stands on the site of an earlier church that was constructed around 540 AD by St Cybi, a cousin of St David, the patron saint of Wales. The church is situated within the walls of the Roman Fort, Caer GybiIt.

St. Cybi's Church, Holyhead

Highlight • Religious Site

Founded in 540 AD, Cybi's church is an ancient church in Holyhead. The historic church has been a center point of the community for thousands of years. It was established within the walls of an abandoned fort, the ruins of which are still visible today. St. Cybi was the first cousin of St. David, the Patron Saint of Wales.

Four Mile Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

The bridge itself takes the same name as the village it is situated in and is one of three bridges connecting Holy Island and Anglesey. The bridge is approximately four miles (6.5 km) from Holyhead via the old road route, giving it, and the village, its name. A bridge at this location was in existence by 1530, and was the only land route to Holyhead until the construction of the Stanley Embankment in 1823. It is 120 metres (390 ft) long and carries the B4545 road over the Cymyran strait.

I think the crossing over the water is about 5km
