A wonderful tour between Remscheid and Wermelskirchen. The hiking trail is well signposted. There are always information boards along the way. I found them very interesting. Depending on your condition and desire, you can extend or shorten the tour.

Unfortunately, the hotel where we used to enjoy a coffee in the garden at the end of the tour is closed.

A short Sunday stroll around the oldest drinking water reservoir in Germany. Still doable for our 13-year-old Frieda.

Today I paid a sick visit to my niece. After her operation, a walk around the small dam was possible and welcome for her.

Free parking:
Take the Remscheid exit on the A1 motorway, pass the service area, and turn right up to the Talsperre road (towards the hotel).

1. Short hike after knee surgery. Things are slowly progressing

On the way a small 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️round made around the Eschbachtalsperre.
Unfortunately, there were hacks on the road again and defaced the forest science boards. 😡
Unfortunately, at the beginning of the path there is a lot of rubbish (paper towels, dog waste, etc.), which is a pity. 😪
The dam is fenced off for security reasons.

... just get some fresh air and walk around the Eschbach dam ...
