Today we continued from La Rochelle to Rochefort. First, we continued along the coast for a bit, then we turned inland towards Rochefort, where we are staying overnight.

Last day: Pure enjoyment and junk tour through varied landscapes, with grassland farming, oyster farming, fishing and a beautiful stretch of coast in wonderful weather. Nice lively villages, not too much halli-galli, at least not now in April.

From La Rochelle along the coast to Rochefort. The first typical fisherman's huts on stilts "cabane" seen, from which fishing is mostly done with nets. Rochefort can be recognized from afar by the pylons of the transporter bridge (opened in 1900). The transporter bridge is still in operation for cyclists and pedestrians, but was not on our way.
