Cala Bassa

Highlight • Beach

One of the best coves in Ibiza, usually awarded with a blue flag due to the incredible clarity and blue color that the water presents here. In addition, due to the slight slope that we find in the first meters of the beach, the water on this beach is usually warm, so the sea invites you to enter and take a good dip.

D'en Rovira Tower

Highlight • Monument

The Torre d'en Rovira or Torre de Compte is an old defensive tower built in 1763 for permanent vigilance against the possible arrival of enemy ships.

The tower has privileged views, where you can see the islets of Sa Conillera, S'Espartar, S'Illa des Bosc and Ses Bledes.

What are the main points of interest along the route?

You'll encounter several beautiful spots, including the stunning Cala Bassa, the historic D'en Rovira Tower, and the secluded Hidden Cove. Other highlights include Cala Codolar and the unique art installation Las Puertas de Can Soleil.

Does the trail intersect with other paths?

Yes, the route incorporates sections of other official trails. You'll find yourself on parts of the West Coves (Sant Josep) – Ibiza trail for about 73% of the journey, as well as smaller portions of the MTB: Port des Torrent, Carrer de la Punta des Saltire, and Camí del Embarcador paths.

Is the West Coves Trail suitable for beginners?

Rated as 'moderate', the trail is generally accessible but does involve some elevation gain (around 130 meters) and a significant distance. Beginners with a reasonable level of fitness should be able to manage it, but it's not a completely flat or easy walk.

Where can I park and access the trailhead?

Specific parking details for the West Coves Trail are not provided, but given its location near popular coves and a tower, it's advisable to look for parking areas near the starting points of the tour, such as around Cala Bassa or D'en Rovira Tower. Public transport options might be limited, so planning for car access is recommended.

Just beautiful. An easy hike that has a lot to offer ... recommended to follow

Translated by Google

The biggest problem with this hike was that there seemed to be a new, amazing panorama every 50m along the coast and you could basically take photos all the time. The light and the colors are just wonderful. Yes, the part through the hinterland was not very interesting but it was a circular route. I would fully recommend it.
