This route was planned by komoot.
On the first day today a small group to get in the mood. According to Komoot, there aren't that many tours from Costa Calma in the area. Everything rather from las Playitas. But that can be adjusted. The asphalt is mostly great. But some short sections are more of a washboard and you wonder whether the top layer was forgotten... Otherwise there is also a great bike path parallel to the expressway. As usual here, the landscape is a lunar or Martian landscape. The last stretch before Morro Jable is, as already announced by Komoot, absolutely not suitable for racing bikes and after a good 500m of carrying your bike through volcanic gravel you come to Jandia Playa. From here you can continue to the junction to Cofete. From there we recommend either a Mars rover, alternatively Gravel or MTB. So back on the way back. After a bit of googling, the carrying item becomes unnecessary: if you are older than 14, you are allowed to ride your bike on the hard shoulder of the Autovia, as long as there is no sign specifically prohibiting it. This makes the way back much easier. In contrast to Germany, all cars overtake with enough distance so that the part is actually easy to drive. Good to know for the next tours... https://www.relive.cc/view/vZqN1AXKV36
