Val Jumela

Highlight • Natural

Val Jumela is one of the less known areas of Val Di Fassa and despite the ski lifts there is still unspoiled nature away from the crowds.

From Canazei you can reach the "Fassa Bike Resort Belvedere" by gondola, where there are various downhill runs at an altitude of 2,000 meters. There are different routes from easy to difficult, so there is something for every downhill fan. In the bike park there is a bike rental, a bike wash station and you can even book guided downhill / freeride and enduro tours - cool are the extra children's tours.

The bike park is open daily from 16 June to 23 September from 8.30 to 17.30. Info: fassa.com/DE/Downhill-Mtb-Strecken

Not really recommended 🙃 Very steep and loose ground

Spectacular tour, but I don't understand why the bans on mechanical vehicles don't come up following a koomot track, we did 3 km half up and half down where it was impossible to pedal... really technical on foot, imagine on a bike, but the view makes up for the fatigue and the swearing :) A very beautiful tour to do with a lot of CAUTION on the scary single track climb due to the precipice on the left, and absolutely keep to the forest road when you get to the Baite with a playground "under the Ciampak Peak" for children and in any case the descent towards Alba di Canazei at times over 29%. so adrenaline-filled anyway!! A big compliment to my 12 year old Giorgia who is always MY faithful companion in all the Tours!!

The tour starts out of the valley on the bike path. The first part on forest roads is still quite comfortable. A beautiful (mostly mobile) piece of forest trail follows. The last section is quite steep, rocky and follows ski slopes. The descent is just as steep and rocky to the first hut. Finally, however, compensated by a demanding rooty single trail through the forest. Back to Canazei we go on tar.

It had been y ... From here a path in the woods starts uphill, very beautiful but very narrow and above all very exposed... those who suffer from them should look for the alternative of the forest road that goes up from Pera and arrives at Malga Jumela. Knowing that from this point there is a pestilential 520 meters of D+ in terms of effort, I stock up on sugar with an excellent Linzer! Finally I am, completely alone, in the valley that I have always seen from above: 3 or 4 marmots are running in and out of their burrows, there are no shortage of stops for photos and it takes me almost an hour to do less than 4km. Having reached the top with the meadows (and slopes) of Ciampac, here is the Ferragosto crowd, since from this side you arrive by chairlift :-) Now begins the long and steep descent to the top station of the cable car and then down the black road towards Alba. It occurs to me that a trail called Titans would start from here, a test of the EWS Enduro and that it would be the opportunity to do it since it would be feasible only if accompanied by a guide (at least the mechanized ascent). Not having protections and knowing that I am very tough, I postpone it to another time and I throw myself on a banal mixed cemented forest road (don't do it with Sram Code!! :-) Here is another closure of the trail that I had chosen to stay higher #sgrunt and I accidentally find a small piece of woods on very soft terrain that takes me to Canazei town. From here, cycle path, sandwich and beer in one of the many Bike-bars and it's already time to think about tomorrow's ride...

Translated by Google

Actually crazy, but spectacular...but almost 800 HM up to 2400m pushed the wheel (20-34% incline)...and 300 HM down (34% incline)....along the "black ski slope".. .... Looking back at the Rosengarten tours and the view to the Bindelweg near the Marmolada were worth seeing

Translated by Google

Although only rated low on technical ability required I would warn anybody who is not skilled on the bike, the decent is very loose and steep in parts
