Trail Reviews

Uwe
May 3, 2022, Gonso Trail mit Gewitter 🌩 im Nacken

Today was an exciting ride. Because as soon as I started in Onstmettingen, it got threatening 🌩🤨 So get on the pedals and hope that I'm faster 😂😂 And what a miracle, I managed to get back to the parking lot dry 🥳 Oh and on the Zeller Horn I was all alone, wonderful 😎 Here is a nice description of the tour: https://www.schwaebischealb.de/touren/mtb-tour-gonso-trail-in-albstadt#/article/7f9eb1e3-80a0-48f6-aef4-75ab6cbf69a9

Did the complete Gonso Trail today, not always just sections. Thanks goes out to Bosch for the support 😂

😉 Today the last day of the holiday 'burned up' a small tour on the Alb "Gonsotrail" refined with the highlights Hangender Stein and Zellerhorn😉 Top weather sunny🌞aber cold🥶 the paths are sometimes quite dirty but shit .... it doesn't matter 😉👍It was almost nothing going on the cold and the muddy paths but cost a lot of grains 😭 I had to push the last 50 meters of the Burgfelder Steige 😭😭😭 has never happened to me here but it doesn't matter it was a great day🙂👍

Today, following the trails of the Albstadt Bike Marathon, I rode the signposted route no. 3, including a few additional gimmicks. It goes over the rugged plateaus of the Swabian Alb between approximately 700 and 950 meters in altitude. The best part is the section along the Albtrauf ridge. The view of the Zollernalb plain and Hohenzollern Castle is breathtaking.

The route didn't come out of my head, I found it here on Komoot as "Albstädter Bike-Kult(o)ur - MTB auf der Schwäbische Alb". Many thanks for that! That was a very nice but also strenuous tour. Some of the climbs are really tough, but the area makes up for it. It largely coincides with the GONSO trail (signs cannot be overlooked). The Gonso Trail is slightly shorter at around 44 km.

Today we cycled the big Gonso tour in Albstadt. Constantly up and down at over 30 degrees. Very scenically very nice on gravel forest roads. Unfortunately, few trails although reported as a MTB tour. We would have expected a little more. But everything is very well signposted and no problem with komoot anyway.

The GONSO Trail starts at the Zollern-Alb-Halle in Tailfingen, with tough climbs, a few steep descents, most of it on wide gravel paths or side roads, I saw very little of the trail, then at the end I made a short detour to the Wachtfels and Braunhardsberg and added a little trail to the round 😎

Didn't find anything at Gonso 😁 no real bargains. The trail starts off really steep and rocky, then a lot over the heath with a good view, then at km 30 it slowly gets going, steep climb and steep downhill, same thing, at km 35 it gets even more intense. Finally it goes into Bullentäle. Hauke rode cleanly around the outside, so it's an extra sharp corner. Not for wimps with knee replacements.
