Today's circular walk is about 6 kilometers and starts and ends close to the polder gardens of Anna Paulowna. The route passes several places that are fun for young and old. If you would like to take a cheerful walk with the whole family, this is your chance!
Those who like to soak up culture and history can walk past the 19th century parish church in the village at the start. If you come for nature, walk a little further and after about 3 kilometers you will find the educational Peacock Garden. Here young and old can learn all about gardening and you can marvel at the lush flower gardens.
If you can't get enough of all those colorful scenes, you can walk extensively through the cheerful, colorful polder gardens towards the end of your walk. Stroll along the winding paths and idyllic bridges along beautiful water features.
It is not without reason that the polder gardens are sometimes referred to as 'little Keukenhof': in the spring this area is beautifully in bloom and you can enjoy hyacinths, daffodils and tulips. The flowering time of these bulbs runs from about mid-March to mid-May, so it's best to visit the gardens during this time.
Today's route mainly passes through and past the village of Anna Paulowna, where you will find several food and beverage outlets. In the Peacock Garden you can take your own goods and take a seat at the picnic table to enjoy a meal among the greenery.
Very close to the starting point of the walk you will find a parking space for your car on the Burgemeester Mijnlieffstraat. There is also a bus station at this starting point, the 'Oude Gemeentehuis' stop, for those who prefer to come by public transport. From Anna Paulowna station, take bus 416, which will take you to the stop in three minutes. You can also walk directly from Anna Paulowna station to the starting point, which will take you less than half an hour.
Have an educational day, full of happy surprises!

2nd Easter Day walked in the nature reserve Kruiszwin, halfway you cross the Poldertuin of Anna Paulowna, this is also called small Keukenhof and is worthy of this name 👍 many volunteers maintain this garden and is at its most beautiful during this period. In the place itself the annual flower days could be admired with many flower / mosaic decorations, enjoyment with a capital E The mosaic of the Pope had already become the winner last week..............💫
