This sporty circular tour offers you an overwhelming panorama that stretches from the Jura and the Lucerne hinterland to the majestic ridge of the Alps. The highlight of the trip is the summit of the Napf, where you can enjoy a long break in addition to the view at the Berghaus.
Starting from Lucerne on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the route first leads through the Rottal over gently rolling hills, past dozens of small farms and hamlets. From the promising Emmental ridges between Nottwil and Rottal you have a wonderful view over Lake Sempach and Lake Lucerne to Lucerne. On the way you will experience, among other things, the historic town of Willisau in the Lucerne hinterland, before you reach the northern flank of the Napf through deep ditches and over flat, promising heights with deep green pastures to the Stächelegg on the Napf. The hills have gradually become significantly higher. A short but steep last ascent finally leads you to the summit.
From the Napfland you get back to the gentle hills on Lake Lucerne. Through the valley of the Kleine Emme torrent, a varied route on gravel paths, cycle paths and side roads leads back to Lucerne. More beautiful villages, picturesque views and exciting sections await you.
Tip: why not take a little more time out and do the tour in two days. We recommend spending the night in the Berghaus on the summit of the Napf. The panorama is particularly impressive at sunrise and sunset.
