There are an incredible number of beautiful places to stop and rest in the Altmühl Valley. You'll always find a spot worth pausing to simply enjoy the nature and scenery. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the encounter with a flock of sheep crossing the bike path and the brief chat with the friendly shepherd. It was truly heartwarming...
