The journey was the destination. A very beautiful route away from mass tourism, challenging in places, but well suited for us everyday hikers.
A pleasant hike that leads to two beautiful bays and also offers fantastic views. At the beginning you walk over chalk cliffs in shady sections. Ascents and descents alternate constantly, the circular route is not complicated (but you definitely need sturdy shoes because of the gravelly sections). The highlight is the red lighthouse, which you can't miss when visiting Bonifacio. You don't necessarily have to make the detour to the first bay. In addition to a few additional meters of elevation on the asphalt road, it does offer a beautiful view of the olives and the maquis - but you can also spend time in the small bays.
