This route was planned by komoot.
Very nice hike with many views that go so well with the country: green meadows, sheep, water, boats, mountains. Well - hills. It was a shame that the tea house wasn't open. The pretty signposts were promising 😀
Wonderful circular walk with two absolute highlights: Gylen Castle and the nearby tea house, where there are delicious snacks between 11 am and 4 pm.
Never let the weather get you down. Started the walk in icy drizzle, which only got worse as the wind picked up. Got stopped by a friendly island woman who warned us that the next ferry might be the last one out. Bit of a pacy walk back to the pier, but what a bracing and wonderful adventure.
We got the tip to go west and across the island and then south on the ferry from a former islander. I can only recommend it. One has more of the island and is only once in peace. You only meet the main stream at the Cafe and Castle.
