Very nice hike with Damiel Buren's exhibition...I love it
You can easily get from Vannes by boat to the nearest island in the Gulf, L'île d'Arz. She has a long sailing history, which is also held up everywhere, but today we were mainly interested in the coastal paths around. Our boat at just after nine was already half full, but judging by the huge "stalls" of bike rentals, there should be more to come throughout the day. Another thing that attracts the island are the peat bogs, which serve as a breeding ground for both native and migratory birds. After the somewhat groggy breakfast from the baker on the ship - and critically eyed by the French - we immediately turned to the eastern part of the island. We almost had it to ourselves - together with the morning fog there was a beautiful, almost mystical backdrop in the swamp. We turned twice into the small island town to get coffee and lunch - otherwise we stuck to the beautiful coastal path here as well. And yes, later it got fuller... 😉Comments on the pictures will follow...
Very beautiful island to explore on foot as few paths are allowed for bicycles. And if you're in the right period, swimming and enjoying blackberries...
