One last mountain hike in the Basque Country before we head inland. Unfortunately, the view at the top was so disappointing that we had to cut it short 🥱🤷♂️
The Aitxuri is a mountain with an altitude of 1551 meters in the Sierra de Aizkorri, belonging to Guipúzcoa. It is the highest peak in this mountain range and in the entire Basque Country. A moderate route in good weather but with wet ground and wind it can get complicated as we will have slippery rock and mud for most of the way. On this route we will take the opportunity to visit the sister peaks Aizkorri and Aketegi.
