This almost 6 kilometer long hike is quite challenging because you climb four exciting peaks. The “4-peak tour” covers the highest elevations in the Zauchensee hiking paradise around the Seekarsee.
You start your tour at the Gamskogelalm, which you can easily reach from the valley with the Gamskogelbahn. First you hike up to the ark, which is at an altitude of 2,060 meters. Then comes Tagweidegg, which towers an impressive 2,135 meters above sea level. Next you climb the Schwarzkopf at 2,263 meters and, last but not least, the world-famous Gamskogel at 2,186 meters with its steep starting slope of the Gamskogel World Cup route.
After you have thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful climb with the magical alpine flora and the fantastic views from all four peaks, you can stop off at the Gamskogelhütte. Then you can comfortably take the lift back to the valley.

Fantastic tour with a wonderful mountain panorama. Each of the four peaks offers different views. In good weather you can see all the mountain massifs. The respective peaks can be reached on narrow, sometimes steep mountain paths. Be sure to wear hiking shoes! Starting point of the tour: Gamskogel middle station. The 6-seater chair from Zauchensee. With breaks, the tour lasts a total of approx. 3 hours with short breaks (eating, drinking, photos and enjoying)
We cheated a bit and only climbed 3 out of 4 peaks - we left out the Arche peak. It was still a sporty tour. From Zauchensee we took the gondola to the Gamskogelhütte and started from there.
Great tour with 4 super great views. A bit challenging for the inexperienced, but the views are worth it.
Take the Gamskogelbahn cable car up the mountain (and back down again). A four-peak tour at Zauchensee with a short section for experienced hikers only (the last few meters up to the Schwarzkopf). A very nice tour in great weather.
Route not fully walkable, lots of snow so path was not passable.
