This route was planned by komoot.
I am often disparagingly called a "mileage eater". People who call me that don't ask about my motivation, or why I "eat up" so many kilometers. For them, only their opinion counts, and only their opinion. It's true, I ride a lot, but I always have time to observe nature, to smell things and to take photos. I am a tour guide for the ADFC and have been leading tours for the second year. For me, only the opinion of the participants counts, who write to me at the end of the tour: Hello Günther, the tour was great. This was of course largely due to your very good preparation and support. The information you put together about Annette von Droste Hülshoff was the icing on the cake of the tour. You knew the route, the time was well kept, the breaks were well planned. I would particularly like to emphasize that you adjusted the pace to the biobiker. That should really be a given, but unfortunately it isn't always. The number of participants was just right, the atmosphere was great. Thank you very much for everything. Best regards from Lucie
...today I took advantage of the good weather and did the tour "from source to source, PB - BI", which was described in our daily newspaper about 3 weeks ago, which I found very interesting and downloaded the GPX data straight away. I started from home, the actual starting point is Paderborn main station and goes to the Pader source area and from there it goes over the new Pader-Stein-Weg to Padersee, further via Neuhaus Castle, Sennelager in the direction of Hövelhof, to the Ems sources and then on in search of the Lutter. At Sennelager I jumped onto the actual tour and then followed the GPX data, it went through fields and forests always on the trail of the source, there were a few places where I followed my instinct and not the tour data, it was definitely more worth seeing. 🚴♂️😎 Ultimately, the Lutterquelle is very close to Brackwede station, which was good for me, according to the plan. I was planning to take the 3:48 p.m. train to Paderborn, but unfortunately just 8 minutes before the announcement came that the train was cancelled. However, since I was hungry and there isn't much at the station in Brackwede, I got on my bike and cycled to Bielefeld main station, ate a little something there and then took the 4:43 p.m. train to Paderborn and arrived home safe and sound. 👍
