Super nice photos - bought with many mosquito bites! Don't let the proximity to the sea fool you: the path on the Bodden is sheltered from the wind and the beasts lurk along the way! The observation tower offers great views and explanatory panels on the special geology of the area, which is UNESCO WHS. The country is still rising 8-9 mm per year as a result of the last ice age. Björkö's former fishermen's huts are now on a bay with no access to the Baltic Sea. The port had to be relocated! Tourist information is available in the small shop in the harbour.
The unique Kvarken Archipelago is Finland's only Natural World Heritage Site on the UNESCO World Heritage List
