June 12, 2022, Bagno di Romagna sulle strada antica Romea Germanica: Da Mulino Gualchiere Piscine Naturali-Antico ponte Romanico-Ruderi Castel D'Alpe-Bivacco Nasseto giro ad anello

I had left to take a round trip to the Nasseto bivouac ... But then after, almost a km, I found a crossroads and looking at the extraordinary Komoot I took a beautiful ring ride. but you would do it anyway also in return), I recommend it as I did. I do not recommend it in July and August because the level above the sea is not much we are below 1000 meters but if you want to go for a ride to the river then highly recommended also in July and August when it is hot the first kilometer and a half is all along the river with the possibility of a picnic and a bath for both us and our four-legged friends 😉. A historical note: the stretch from Gualchiere to the Nasseto bivouac is a stretch of the path on the Romea Germanica (I did it the other way around on the way back 😉

Trek 20 (Walking in the Park) - A journey through time and space in the upper Savio Trek taken from the guide "On foot in the Park" Excursions in the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests. Path: Fullers - Ponte Fosso del Capanno - Nasseto - Castel dell'Alpe - Closed - Ponte Fosso del Capanno - Fullers Beautiful balloon ride, very scenic and ... from a trained leg. A lot of ascent, often steep, with steps, on bare, brittle rock. Together with the great heat and the gray rock that increased its intensity, I sweated the proverbial 7 shirts. It is worth it, the view is magnificent. Trek poles very useful in this case. It is not an easy path, indeed. I have often had to retrace my steps to find the right path. The signs on the trees are there (not always clearly visible) but it is easy to post a path that seems the right one only to find that it bends on the wrong side. At the crossroads with Castel dell'Alpe, a sign indicates the direction for Gualchiere .... it is a pity that the right entrance is 20m further downstream from the sign that ... indicates the wrong path. In some stretches you cross very wide ridges and it is easy to pass the correct entrance. Maybe I'm wrong, but in rainy periods the path could become dangerous: barren path, in rock = slippery. To close the ring with a flourish, I put on my sandals and walked a path that wades the river 6 times ...... what a taste !! Only one ford, between Chiuso and Gualchiere, to cross. Suitable for dogs: Ni Choose very cool days or cold periods. There are very few areas that are truly in the shade and the stone heats up considerably. No water source. Near Nasseto there is the indication "Abbeveratorio" but I continued on another path. Route description and info: https://trekking.parcoforestecasentinesi.it/track/trek1_20/

To the north of Badia Prataglia extends the homonymous forest, which goes up to the watershed ridge and then descends seamlessly on the Romagna side, towards La Lama and the Bidente di Pietrapazza. The proposed itinerary develops entirely in forest habitat, especially among magnificent beech woods, solemn for their columnar bearing. The route, albeit with a considerable difference in height, is easy, taking place on wide roads and on the ridge path, very placid here.
