Strolling along the Hoevelaken estate – Clogs Trails with children

Today the clog path is all about Landgoed Hoevelaken. You can stroll together through this natural area for just under 5 kilometres. Have fun exploring with the kids! Please note: the area is difficult to access for prams, so it is better to leave them at home. Put on good shoes, because you often walk on unpaved paths.

Soon you will find yourself at Landgoed Hoevelaken. This old estate is still in good condition and is located in a varied environment full of meadows, water features and forests. This creates a pleasant environment for all kinds of plant and animal species. Also for very special ones! For example, do you see the protected royal fern? This plant can live up to 100 years! Or who knows, you might spot a grass snake. This animal looks exciting, but don't worry: it won't do anything! In the different waters you can also just encounter a number of frogs. Who knows, you can hear them croaking from a distance. Landgoed Hoevelaken is no less than 3 kilometers long and only 375 meters wide. You can choose to spend the day on the estate, because there is plenty to see and experience here.

If you want to walk a little further, you can extend the tour to just under 5 kilometers. You will then pass through a beautiful piece of forest and can take a break at a quiet pond.

You will not encounter any catering establishments along the way, so take some food and drinks with you in your backpack. Along the way there are more than enough beautiful spots for a nice picnic in nature.

Are you coming by car? Then park it at the Hoevelakense Boslaan car park. Are you coming by public transport? The Huize Hoevelaken bus stop is within walking distance of the starting point.
