You can simply follow the red markings from the car park at Lilleborg towards the former Christianshøjkroen inn. Just before the building, the path turns right into the oldest part of the Almindingen forest. There you will pass the large water fir and the over six-meter-high granite prince sculpture, which was erected in 1688 in honor of King Christian V.
The hike is a circular route divided into two loops that meet almost in the middle. If you don't feel like doing the second part, you can just do the first loop. The most beautiful, but also the hilliest and possibly most swampy section of the trail is the path around Lilleborg and Gamleborg.
