Corna Trentapassi is one of the most popular peaks of all those overlooking Lake Iseo. Its summit can be reached by several paths, different in terms of difficulty and length.
The foot of the western slope of this mountain, a bastion of sedimentary rock called Dolomia Principale, plunges into the body of water of Sebino between the villages of Vello and Toline.
The signal arrow of the itinerary n. 263 introduces you to the track to follow up to the top of the Corna Trentapassi, along a demanding route that requires a little attention, but which is spectacular and satisfying at the same time.
After a short stretch on concrete between olive trees and dry stone walls you see the village of Vello, you pass a series of steps and reach a votive aedicule. At the end of a stretch with slight ups and downs, you flank the church of the Visitazione and at the crossroads follow the white and red signs that indicate the route of the vertical race.
The path gains altitude on the right side of Val Lins and offers sweeping views of Lake Iseo, passes an exposed section equipped with fixed ropes and immediately starts climbing again with very steep slopes.
The route crosses a grove and takes you to the edge of the ridge. After a few delicate passages, the summit of Corna Trentapassi appears in front of you and further back, from a particular perspective, the summit of Monte Guglielmo.
To return, descend towards the eastern peak of the Corna Trentapassi arriving at Forcellino di Zuf, where you follow the signs posted on a pole for path no. 265. The descent is easier and does not present major difficulties.
