Two rivers, two cities. Aller and Weser between Achim and Verden. A beautiful tour. Hopefully with sunshine next time.

Our tour today went to Verden, along the Weser and Aller, through wonderfully green meadows and flowering fields. A small detour took us through the Sachsenhain, which you should definitely visit if you are in the area. The town centre of Verden is worth seeing because of its well-preserved half-timbered houses and the cathedral. We didn't go straight back to Achim, but rather via Lunsen, where we had our daily coffee break. A wonderful and tasty selection of cakes/tarts/coffee and cold drinks. You can relax wonderfully and enjoy the break. All in all, another very nice tour in the best weather.
Start and finish: Achim, Weser bridge Uesen From the Achim Harbor Park, in the direction of Verden, past 3 small rest areas to the Langwedel lock and on to Verden. Great bike path, easy to drive, great views of the Weser and the lock canal, meadows and pastures. After crossing the Weser in Verden on the way back Roads and farm roads back to Achim. Paths partly with car traffic, now and then a view of the Weser river. All in all, an easy ride with many beautiful views of the Weser, the canal and nature. Recommendable!
Wow! It was a bit chilly this morning, but we had fun. But we do think this is not the best route to appreciate the Weser countryside.
Unfortunately the Weser bridge was closed behind Intschede, I didn't want to believe the traffic signs. So drove on to Verden. There were great paths, but unfortunately also stretches along the road .... 😉 The paths right along the water are the most beautiful for me. And there are such beautiful tours here in the north.
Of course we drove there and back, it just wasn't recorded because Komoot just got out. Was a really great ride!
Today I used the nice weather for a leisurely ride 🥰😃👍🚴♂️ it was about time......the rain over the last few weeks has been annoying 😝 and with beautiful sunny weather, riding a bike makes a lot of sense funsss
