Dun Dornaigil Broch

Highlight • Historical Site

Brochs are highly impressive prehistoric buildings, unique to Scotland and found mainly in the north and west. These stone roundhouses date from around 400-200 BC. This broch may have belonged to a wealthy family, demonstrating control of the glen.

Allt na Caillich Waterfall

Highlight • Viewpoint

Although close to the main tourist path up Ben Hope, these waterfalls are often overlooked.

The run-off from Ben Hope drops around 30 metres towards Strathmore, with several smaller cascades on the way.

The pathless climb on the hillside to the North reveals the best views, with easier going on the trail to the South.
