This route was planned by komoot.
Lovely walk along the lake shore a few gentle climbs and decents and some uneven surfaces. Did the walk on a beautiful mid September day but a month later with the autumn colours might be even better.
I made this trekking tour with my wife and an 11yo boy. Planned with komoot and underestimated the trail, considering it basically flat. It's actually a series of up and down following a path along the lake, sometimes it's a nice gravel path, sometimes it becomes very stony/rooty and definitely wet. It took almost 3 hrs for a little more than 10km (net of all the stops). We met people with MTB, and technically it can be done if you are well trained or if you push the bike along the rough parts (like the ones we met :-)
The Ullswater Way - had a nightmare with Kamoot so missed the first bit of day one and the second bit of day 2, but 37km over 2 days, thigh deep snow and -10 at times and a large slide/fall down a mountainside.. Great weekend!.
