Third day of the Enjoy Cancano Stelvio Gavia September 2023. A completely new climb for me. Open to traffic up to Santa Caterina, then closed to motorized traffic. The first ramps up to Sant'Antonio are a bit challenging, but overall nothing special - for those who love straight things this is something they'll love. The "Fiandre" pavé insert on the climb to S. Antonio is very beautiful. After Santa Caterina the road narrows and you enter full nature, with Zebrù and other peaks on the left and on the right cows walking grazing in the same direction as the cyclists going uphill. After the hardest part you push hard up to the pass. Climb that reminded me a bit of the Cayolle, for the peace, and the Bonette for the sense of essentiality and being bare. After arriving, we return to Bormio: adventure, climbs and time are unfortunately over. We would like to end differently - with Aprica and Mortirolo - but time and logistics require that the coaa ends here. Hello beautiful Valtellina!
