Beautiful hike with views followed by lunch in the Flößerpark Wolfach👍😎
Since my Podex urgently needed a rest from cycling, I walked the Grenzgänger-Steig near Wolfach today. Beautiful paths, with wonderful views and steep climbs. On the first stretch, however, the traffic noise from the B294 is extreme.
Didn't finish recording and drove a bit in the car. Are only 8.3KM
“Narrow paths through idyllic forests, challenging climbs but also impressive panoramic views of Wolfach, Oberwolfach and Hausach” is the short description of the Wolfacher Grenzgänger-Steig on the overview map. An 8.2 km long certified premium hiking trail that fully deserves the addition of “connoisseur trail” 👍. In addition to the "Wolfacher Schloßblick" (on the opposite side of the Kinzig), this is the second quality hiking trail in Wolfach, which was only certified by the German Hiking Institute in August 2023. Here is a more detailed description from the German Hiking Institute website: "After a short stretch along the Kinzig, you take paths through the forest, and a little later you suddenly come across the first view over Wolfach at the memorial. You quickly become aware of the name of the path when you are on a low mountain ridge The old border runs along the old border. Idyllic places like the Hexentanzplatz invite you to linger and in the further course you climb a few "low mountain peaks" along rocks. Finally, you reach a clear highlight of the tour with the Spitzfelsen; here you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view in all directions Enjoy the Black Forest and the surrounding towns. The path then leads to the "White Cross" and changing views of beautiful Black Forest valleys. On the last kilometer, the hiker can enjoy the views again on an idyllic swing and other elaborately prepared seating until finally completely At the end the Wolfach, beautifully embedded in the valley, spreads out before him again." My conclusion: there is hardly anything left to add, and this tour can only be warmly recommended to everyone, as long as he/she is "good enough on foot" 🥵😂. And one more positive note at the end: the return journey with the Deutschlandticket included 3 changes each time. And that always worked out great, as all the trains were on time almost to the minute 👍. So this time there's no reason to complain about Deutsche Bahn - that's what it should be said 😂.
With a little stroll through the nature park market at the beginning of the tour. 😋
Today I hiked the beautiful premium trail Wolfacher Grenzgängersteig with a friend. Spitzfelsen was there again 😆
Stretching my legs a bit today after yesterday's hike 😇😁 The trail is a lovely walk, mostly on lovely narrow paths and with some really tough climbs. There are also some lovely viewpoints. The highlight is, of course, the Spitzenfels with its summit cross. From here, you have a wonderful view of Wolfach, the Kirnbach Valley, the Kinzig Valley, and the Brandenkopf. The trail continues with a steady up and down to the Weiße Kreuz. From here, it goes into the Hapachtal Valley and climbs again on the other side. That was the last highest point; from now on, it's all downhill to the starting point.
