Reaching the starting point of this tour is extremely easy: you can get there either by bicycle along the cycle path, or by car. In both cases you start near a convenient parking lot.
The itinerary is designed for expert and skilled cyclists, with a good familiarity with driving their own mountain bike, both electric and classic.
I advise you not to underestimate the tour and bring everything you need with you, including a rain jacket and some spare food to recharge your batteries.
It begins by going up the western slope of the mountains from Gardone Val Trompia pedaling along the paved slope up to Piani di Caregno. From this point, the asphalt is left for almost the rest of the way.
Then continue pedaling at the foot of the Creste di Montecampione on the triumpline side, before going down the hill on the camunian side and stopping at the Dosso Rotondo refuge. You have already covered half of the kilometers of the stage and almost the entire climb!
After a well-deserved rest at the refuge, the descent to the foot of Monte Muffetto begins, which is never too technical and is always pleasant, but still ride it carefully and calmly.
The last part of the descent is the most technical and winds along a fun but steep path, full of roots and very narrow so keep an eye out even more.
This single trail takes you to the town of Bovegno, where you can take the cycle path and cycle safely back to the starting point.
If you prefer to tackle the route over several days, you can consider splitting it in two, in this way you can fully enjoy the experience without rushing and perhaps stop for the night at the refuge where you can taste the local delicacies.
Regardless of your choice, whether you decide to rest in a comfortable structure or experience camping, this adventure will be extraordinary and will give you unforgettable memories.
Have a nice ride!
