Coetan Arthur Dolmen

Highlight • Historical Site

Coetan Arthur dolmen is the remains of a Neolithic burial chamber that dates to around 3,000 BC. The unusual and intriguing rock chamber is believed to be a passage grave. The capstone measures approximately 20 feet (6 m) by 8 feet (2.5 m) and is supported on one side by an orthostat — a large stone slab that has been artificially set upright — that is approximately 5 feet (1.5 m) high.

St David's Head is a dramatic headland northwest of St David's and Whitesands beach dominated by the peak of Carn Llidi. The small and rugged peninsula is rich in flora and fauna and boasts geology that dates back almost 500 million years. From this spot, you are afforded magnificent views over the Irish Sea.

Porthmelgan Beach

Highlight • Natural

Due to the location (you can't park directly there, you have to go somewhere) it's very quiet.

View of White Sands Bay

Highlight • Beach

This is a great place to sit and watch sunset, overlooking White Sands Bay with Carn llidi behind you. It is also a short walk from Saint Davids head which is also a great place to see sunset during the summer when the sun sets more to the north.

Whitesands Beach

Highlight • Rest Area

Whitesands is an amazing beach in St David’s with, unsurprisingly, white sands. One of the best surf spots in the world and a great place to people-watch! You can walk out to the headland or up to the craggy hill of Carn Llidi. I would definitely recommend watching the sunset from here.
