Have you always wanted to reach the ceiling of beautiful Overijssel? Then this is your chance. In a circular walk of more than 10 kilometers you climb the Tankenberg of no less than 85.1 meters high. You will also encounter many highlights along the way.
The walk starts in the idyllic village of De Lutte and first takes you in the footsteps of the Catholic processions. Just like they did in the old days, today you too will stop at the Lourdes caves that served as a resting place at the time. Haven't you relaxed enough yet? At the pulpit, 2 kilometers away, you will also find a wonderful place to reflect or to have a picnic. Here you will find a nice seat with a beautiful view over the vast meadows. Enjoy the flat land for a while, because the climb to the Tankenberg is about to begin!
Put those calves to work while you conquer the altimeters. Tired? Just keep going, your effort will be rewarded at the top. The most beautiful views are waiting for you here, which even reach as far as Germany in clear weather! Take some time to catch your breath and take in the beauty before descending to the lower Paaschberg. It may not match the 85 meter high Tankenberg, but from 25 meters you still have a breathtaking view of the Twente landscape.
After taking in the fresh air, you head back downhill to De Lutte. Here you will find attractive places for a snack and a drink. For the road you take enough food and drinks with you in your backpack.
The tour starts and ends in De Lutte, where there are enough parking spaces for the car. The route can also be reached by public transport. In that case, take the bus to stop R.K. Church in De Lutte.
