August 30, 2021, Oostzijdse Molen – Fort Nigtevecht Loop from Abcoude

A nice walk from Abcoude along the river Gein on paved roads. Luckily not busy on an early Monday afternoon. 800 meters ahead, the signboard invited guests for coffee and snacks, but sadly, Fort Nigtevecht was closed. Open only on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 17. From a distance the Oostzijdse molen was visibly running full speed, and close up, we could see and hear its wings whizzing by.

Walk of natural monuments from Abcoude station. Nice weather and something different than forest and heath. A busy route on certain parts with cyclists, cyclists, walkers, cars, and motorcycles. But still enjoyed the beautiful route.
