Took a quick afternoon walk in the area. A lovely route now that the heather is in bloom, but also with some challenging hills.
Beautiful weather and a beautiful route! Today it was really spring, including lambs and blossom trees. I actually planned to go for a walk at Berg en Dal, but estimated that it would be busy there today. So it became a round from Mook-Molenhoek station. There you walk directly into a beautiful nature reserve with Scottish highlanders and views. And yet relatively quiet. Komoot, Garmin and Strava differ in opinion about the number of altimeters, somewhere between 250 and 320. There were tough climbs in between. In retrospect maybe a little too spicy because of foot complaints. But it was worth it :). Also worth repeating is a break at Herberg Restaurant t Zwaantje. Wide selection of flans, a clear indication that you are in Limburg.
A few Dutch meters of altitude bathed in light green... Sunday afternoon and sun and enjoying all the senses. Beautiful, varied tour through lots of nature. That felt really good 🤗
And another dip!!! It was a lovely 29 degrees outside, so it was very welcome.
Sometimes there are walks where everything is right. A fantastic environment, ideal walking weather. That was the feeling I had today during the Plasmolen - Milsbeek stage. The heath is in bloom again and I was very happy that I was able to walk this stage in August 💜.
Today we did a nice winter hike in the neighboring country 🇳🇱. From Plasmolen we went through beautiful, sometimes hilly forest and heathland.
