This easy tour, which connects the three Wildkogel reservoirs, is ideal for a family hike thanks to its simple route. Even with the little ones in the stroller, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Hohe Tauern.
From Neukirchen am Großvenediger, you float relaxed up to the mountain station of the Wildkogelbahn. At the top, there is a restaurant and a large playground for you and your children. A wide gravel path leads you to the two reservoirs at the Wildkogel Alm and then back towards the starting point.
But the scenic family tour is not over yet: It goes slightly downhill to the Wolkenstein guesthouse, where the picturesque Maria im Schnee chapel awaits you. Then you hike gently uphill to the reservoir on the Braunkogel - simply fantastic how the smooth surface of the water merges almost seamlessly into the mountain scenery. After lots of photos for the family album, you walk back to the mountain station of the Wildkogelbahn.
