Today we're heading to the northern part of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park, to the Würzjoch Pass (again by public transport, of course). At 2,875 meters, the Sass de Putia is the highest peak in the Sass de Putia group. And you can circumnavigate it on a fantastic, varied hike. It offers everything: forest, scree-covered terrain, expansive alpine meadows, and great hiking trails. The circular hike isn't too difficult, except for the climb to the Sass de Putia (surefootedness is a must there, as there was still snow in places). Further information about this hike can easily be googled. And of course, ski water and high-calorie treats are a must 😂.
The ascent to the Peitlerkofel was unfortunately in the fog... the tour would be absolutely amazing if the sun had been shining 🤩!!!
Today we went from the Würzjoch (parking lot 8€ daily fee) to the Pleiterkofel circuit. A really beautiful, varied hike ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😍 Mountains and views wherever you look. Over narrow paths up to the gap and wonderful wide paths and meadows to look, marvel and photograph around the entire mountain massif. You can hardly get enough of the view. At the end of the circuit you go through a forest with lots of huge boulders and old trees. We can only recommend this hike, it's simply fantastic. Today we are totally mountain-happy 😍😇🥰
The circular hike around the Peitlerkofel is a moderately difficult hike with impressive views of the striking mountains.
Highly recommended panoramic excursion, after some doubts whether to tackle it clockwise (as indicated in a guide) or anti-clockwise as seen on various reviews on the internet, we asked the manager of the mountain hut for advice at the beginning of the tour, who recommended the anti-clockwise tour time, I recommend this solution, so you can immediately face the climb and the most challenging section of the tour fresh, to reach the highest point. In this way the second part of the excursion (when you are more tired) can be done easily
Our tour with lots of great impressions around the Peitlerkofel is also available as a video on our YouTube channel: Discovering the world travel blog https://youtu.be/dilvK88E4jg
Great round tour in a unique landscape. Impressive.
On our hike around the Peitlerkofel we are rewarded with wonderful landscape images. This means you never lose interest during the steep climb through the rocky Schartenbachtal and the long route.
