Nestled between sky and sea, the Sentiero degli Dei (path of the gods) reveals panoramas of the Mediterranean and the coastal villages.
This pedestrian route follows an old transhumance path used by farmers to lead their herds from the mountains to the coastal plains. As one embarks on this millennial…

This route was planned by komoot.
Challenging, training and suitable shoes required. Beautiful but perhaps a little overrated. A note: from Nocelle a small bus takes you to Positano.
The tour was very nice, but hiking shoes are required. Some steep descents. You should be free from giddiness and sure-footed. Great vantage points👍🇮🇹😎
I have been walking this path periodically for over twenty years, but the charm remains, it always surprises you, it always leaves you with something new. It will be some glimpses you have never noticed, it will be a particular brightness of the day, it will be the company of friends who you make enjoy this place so impervious and surprising. Therefore it is always worth doing it again, perhaps for those who live not too far away it is much better to enjoy the path in the November - March period, corresponding to the period of lesser tourist influx in the Sorrento - Amalfi area.
This hike is the Path of the Gods minus the 1700@ steps down to Positano. We caught a standard Amalfi SITA public bus to the start of this hike. What was less advertised was the local bus from Nocelle to Positano so you don't have to walk down the 1700 steps. The local bus was run by Mobility Amalfi Coast ( not SITA). Tickets can be purchased on the bus.
Today we went very early towards the Amalfie coast. For our last hike in beautiful Italy, we have chosen something very special. The Sentiero degli dei Path of the Gods. We started in the small mountain village of Agerola-Bomerano. Words indescribable from beginning to end. We could even see on Capri. Always keeping an eye on the coast, it went over great paths with rocks to Nocelle, where 1500 stairs led down to Positano. The knees were shaking. In between there was of course a granite made from very fresh, giant lemons. Highly recommended😍🤗☀️A dream vacation is coming to an end. Beach again tomorrow. And then you go home with a laughing and crying eye and many wonderful memories in your heart🌞🥰
Today we started very early on the Amalfi Coast to run the beautiful Gods Path with Steffi, Astrid and I already walked it 2 years ago. We enjoyed it so much, always above this incredibly beautiful coast along, you can't really get ahead🥰, a path for the senses and with lovely people ... that was such a beautiful day. Just take a look at the pictures (unfortunately, komoot swirled around again). That was the last recording from Italy, on Saturday it goes back to the Tegernsee and Sunday home😪 On Monday we'll be back for girls' hiking
There are a few variations at different heights but the trails are always obvious, as is the direction to go in, in the absence of any heavy mist. This particular route ends with a lemon granita stall then 1800 stairs down to sea level, from whence a regular bus towards either Positano or Amalfi (5070) can be caught (takes cash). Going in the Amalfi direction, one may change at Bivio Lone for the less regular 5080 bus to get back to the walk's starting point in Bomerano. The 5080 doesn't sell tickets on board so it might be safer to ride the 5070 all the way to Amalfi and buy a ticket for the 5080 there in a shop. The SITA bus timetables can be found online. Because the bus connection is really lengthy and the 1800 steps are no fun, if I did this again I would try to do one of the loop options.
