This route was planned by komoot.
Based on: https://www.komoot.com/de-DE/smarttour/e1241036527?ref=itd With carrying sections around Lago di Cavedine and a fall on the trail.
We started our final gravel tour today🚴 at the Al Porto campsite⛺ and drove via Arco to Lago di Cavedine🏖️. We went back over partly rough gravel to Riva del Garda. Now a great cycling trip with crossing the Alps and trips on Lake Garda is coming to an end. The weather was great🌞 and we had no falls or breakdowns. Lake Garda, I'll be back❤️.
Final round to Lago di Cavedine 🚴🏻🏖️🚴🏻. A great week of cycling across the Alps and Lake Garda comes to an end. No crashes, no breakdowns and good weather... 🚴🏻❤️ what more could you want? See you soon at Lake Garda 😊🚴🏻🏕️. A.B.
Temperature: 30 degrees, steepest incline: 20%, km driven: 49.5.
First outing of 2025 and as per tradition we inaugurate it in Garda Trentino which thanks to its temperatures allows for some nice winter cycling. Route divided in half between dirt road in the Marocche di Dro Park (the largest prehistoric landslide in Europe) and the Sarca cycle path. Depending on how the wind blows you can decide which side to tackle first. we tell you about it in detail on www.viaggiatorelento.com
A really great tour. Feasible with a gravel bike. However, somewhat borderline with SPD-SL click pedals and racing shoes 😅 The first half from Arco is actually for MTB's. But there are great views and the route is less busy compared to other routes on Lake Garda.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYVmRxkaHmA Between bathing you can cycle a bit. I am particularly fond of the Marocche, because I always find this lunar landscape near Lake Garda exciting. So it's a good thing that the Val di Sarca cycle path leads there. This time, however, we have made the loop over Lago di Cavedine counterclockwise - that's why the ascent up to the Marocche is a little longer - but you save yourself a bad ramp on the bike path with 20%. All in all a nice little round and even if there is sometimes a lot going on on the bike path, you just can't get enough of the landscape. For those who find Lake Garda too crowded, Lago di Cavedine is an insider tip anyway - and soon we have planned another tour to explore the other lakes in Val di Sarca and Val di Cavedine. You can find out more about our tours on Lake Garda here. https://graveldeluxe.com/gravel-routen/tag/Gardasee
From Arco a very nice route, persevere until then and maybe look for better alternatives😉
