The Petit Train greenway links the coastal municipalities of Palamós and Palafrugell.

The route begins in Palamós, a fishing town with an important fishing and commercial port. From Palamós, the route crosses the municipalities of Mont-ras and Palafrugell, with branches to the beaches of La Fosca and Castell. Castell beach is one of the few virgin beaches on the Costa Brava, surrounded by pine trees and dunes.

The route ends in Palafrugell, a town with a long industrial and commercial tradition, linked to cork and textiles. In Palafrugell you can visit the Cork Museum, the Can Mario Museum and the Cap Roig Botanical Garden. You can also enjoy local cuisine, based on fish, rice and garden products.

Castell Beach

Highlight • Beach

Castell beach is located a few meters from the Iberian town of Castell and, obviously, integrated within the area of natural interest of the castle of Cap Roig. The Aubi channel flows into it and offers more than 300 linear meters of fine sand. Pine trees are part of the landscape, wherever you look. Despite being far from the urban core, this beach offers a large number of services. This includes a kayak school and walkways for people with reduced mobility, among others. It is highly recommended that, in addition to diving into the water, you take a walk around this area. There is a large car park a short distance away, which in the summer is for a fee.
