Today's tour is about 2 kilometers long and leads along the longest stream in the Veluwe, the Leuvenumse stream.
The route is characterized by beautiful beeches that regularly tower over you. This Tour is suitable to undertake in any season, but if you don't want to miss how the beeches turn yellow, orange and red, go in the fall.
Almost the entire route is dominated by the stream. Relax to the sound of the babbling brook at your side, hear the birds singing in the trees between the rustling leaves and catch your breath from time to time in idyllic spots in the middle of nature. Several crossings over the water via romantic bridges should of course not be missed.
The tour starts at the parking lot on the Polenweg. The roads of the route are semi-paved in several places. It is possible to go over it with a wheelchair, but it is helpful if you have someone with you in case you need some help.
Are you coming by public transport? Then get off at the Leuvenum stop, Het Roode Koper, and pick up the route there. At Het Roode Koper you can also enjoy a snack and a drink before or after the walk.
