This route was planned by komoot.
I gave birth to the idea for this excursion when I was already getting ready to sleep discouraged and without knowing what to do the next morning. Giving birth, perhaps is an improper verb, if we analyze today's route that, damned, resembles a spermatozoon. I like to think that I am the first person in the world who has managed to reverse events. Fertilizing something that has already been conceived is not easy, but the reality is that I cannot be serious if I do not first make fun of myself with a few jokes. Excluding the very steep initial part and on a road of stones and cement, I love this excursion because it offers fairytale landscapes and the Presolana in particular remains the main protagonist. Main but not unique. I will let the photos speak for themselves and I invite those who have never been there to go. For those who want to copy my route in its entirety, I recommend doing it in this direction, especially if you are not very trained. Going up the scree requires a considerable effort and my photos are very deceiving. It is a beautiful vertical wall and every three steps you lose at least one by sliding back. I really like the Olone pass because it seems like a small elevator that after a very short run takes you to a completely new environment. In a few minutes you are at the Rino Olmo refuge which honestly loses much of its charm in winter. Practically in the shade all day and therefore exposed to the frost it does not invite you to stay there for more than a few minutes. Everything changes if you find it open, because in that case I have always eaten well. An excursion that offers continuous encounters with wild animals and in particular chamois. Having reached about thirty I stopped counting them. A light layer of snow, which fell yesterday, gave me many fox tracks in particular, but not only. I conclude by saying that this is an area where you can indulge yourself and offers dozens of paths of all types. If you have legs and training you can do and see wonderful things, or simply make a loop that does not look like a spermatozoon.
