This route was planned by komoot.
A beautiful tour in Normandy along the Alabaster Coast. A strong wind is blowing, and despite clouds and a rain shower, we have sunshine most of the time. I never would have thought we'd gain so much elevation here. Fantastic views of the chalk cliffs and the sea. The tour also leads past a castle that Sissi once visited. Many other small and large houses with Norman charm lined the streets. Wonderful.
A very pretty hike with varied paths and beautiful views.
It is sometimes a scramble and zigzag through the bushes.. but a beautiful route along the coast and through the forest. On the way we took a look at Sissi's summer palace.
First orientation tour accompanied by the typical drizzle. Nevertheless very nice!
Attention, plan ahead. Watch out. At the level of the cliffs. Lots of water. And sticks.
If Sissi vacationed and hiked here (I wonder if that's true 😄), it must be beautiful. And it was – although the overcast weather wasn't ideal for really nice photos. But we had the trail almost entirely to ourselves.
Nice hike, at the end you walk quite a lot over land. Unfortunately we missed the opportunity to make a detour to the Plagé in Saint-Pierre-en-Port. Then there are a few more meters and also meters of elevation. If the parking spaces are full, there are still some in the village. You can also visit the great bakery there. Great products and very, very friendly!
