The first tour of the collection is an excellent introduction to the gravel world in the Ausserfern in Tyrol. At 80 kilometers and 1,000 meters in altitude you circle the Tannheim mountains between Bavaria and Tyrol. On the way you pass idyllic mountain lakes and can catch a glimpse of the royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein.
The tour starts at the municipal office in Pinswang. You will soon be crossing the border into Germany for the first time. The path takes you past the romantic Alpsee and through the small towns of Füssen and Vils. Then you drive through the wild Vilstal on a lonely forest road, far away from the stress and noise of civilization. Made for your gravel bike! It continues via Tannheim and the old Gaichtpass down to the Lech. On the banks of the Lech you follow a pleasant cycle path downstream until you are back in Pinswang.
You can reach the starting point at the Pinswang municipal office by bus. Bicycles are allowed on the bus. You can also park your car on site.
