With the help of the Schlossalmbahn, which departs from Bad Hofgastein, you can take a crisp and not too long hike to the Türchlwand. So even if you don't have that much time for a day, you can climb a challenging and rewarding summit.
The first section from the mountain station is still comfortable. Then you climb steeply towards the Lungkogel, which you cross below the summit. Then you reach the ridge, the course of which you follow on an alpine trail to the summit. Short sections are provided with ropes.
At the summit you can expect a view of the Grossglockner, the Goldberg Group and the Hochkönig. The descent is the same way back to the mountain station.
